The following letter just came into my email from the district. Wondering if any one from the club has any desire to pursue the $500 (no matching funds required). I am willing to assist, but need the buy-in and suggestions from the club members.
 
Please respond with your desires, suggestions and how we could implement as soon as possible. This is a first come, first get for 20 clubs out of 52. Request form with details can be seen by following the read more link.
 
To help address the needs created by COVID-19 in our district, the District 5930 Leadership Team has earmarked $10,000, which are to be disseminated through individual $500.00 grants to 20 Rotary clubs in our district on a first-come first-served basis. 
 
To apply for one of these grants, interested clubs are asked to complete the attached Request for Funding form and submit it to District Governor Ellison Crider at
ellisoncrider@gmail.com and to District Grants Subcommittee Chair Juan Lira at juanliratx@aol.com as soon as possible.
 
Each club awarded one of these grants is required to submit a short report to Juan Lira to document the implementation and impact of the grant no later than 31 May 2020. Additional information regarding the report is provided in the Request for Funding form.

District 5930 Rotary Club Request for $500 Grant to Address COVID-19 Need(s)
 
Dear Fellow Rotarians:
 
District 5930 has earmarked $10,000 to help Rotary clubs in the district address COVID-19 needs. These funds are to be disseminated through individual $500.00 grants to 20 Rotary clubs in District 5930 on a first-come first- served basis. This decision has been made to aid to communities facing severe challenges associated with COVID- 19.
 
Instructions: Clubs wishing to apply for one of these grants are asked to complete the form below and return it to District Governor Ellison Crider (ellisoncrider@gmail.com) and District Grants Subcommittee Chair Juan Lira at juanliratx@aol.com for consideration.
