Recap of HummerBird Celebration Fundraiser
We had a successful weekend at our first try at the HummerBird Celebration Hummer Mall. In addition to selling Bottle Toppers, Cookbooks, flower plates and water we got the name and visual of Rotary out to the community and its visitors.

We shared about our meetings and activities as well as selling. Some results:
  • Increased awareness and interest in the Rockport Film Festival on Nov. 3-5.
  • Increased awareness and interest in the Taste of Rockport-Fulton.
  • Possible donor of a major auction item.
  • A new guest speaker to add to our list. She is selecting a date.
  • A new member - he is currently a member in New Braunfels and will be moving here and is glad to hear we have an active club.
  • Several folks interested in joining us at our meetings - a combination of both meeting times.
  • Fellow Rotarian requesting ideas and suggestions to do a cookbook and Taste event at her club.
  • Strengthening of friendship and fellowship of current members who worked the booth.
  • Supported a community event.
  • Found out most wine bottles in Rockport are either full or empty - had to come up other creative uses for bottle toppers.
